A little bit about us...
Evoke Action was set up in 2020 by us, Pam & Scott Newby. We live in the beautiful Scottish coastal town of North Berwick, with our two children.
Evoke Action is actually our third business. We also run a successful business consultancy, NewbyCore Consulting Limited, which specialises in leadership, training and workplace wellbeing. Scott also runs Come Alive UK – a business dedicated to mental wellbeing in the workplace.
So we know a thing or two about what it’s like setting up and running a small business (spoiler: it’s bloomin’ hard, but so worth it!). We have learned a HUGE amount since setting up our first business and we can’t wait to share this with you.
So who are we?
Pam’s the marketing and social media geek. She’s the one designing, branding, pinning, posting, liking, sharing etc. Pam worked in professional services marketing before moving to the third sector to follow a passion for charity fundraising – so she has a great mix of skills and knowledge. Pam is a qualified member of the Institute of Fundraising and has worked with large UK charities, as well as smaller international charities.
Scott is the content creator. He’s the one who can be found podcasting, blogging, vlogging, writing and creating content. He’s also studying for his second degree in Psychology (as you do). He’s football daft, and produces a top 10 football podcast “Well Done Michael” as well as new mental wellbeing podcast “Looking Back To The Future“.
